Technical Project Manager

905 New Media, an integrated marketing firm based in St. Louis, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with an agency background to join our team. We are looking for someone who is client-focused, process oriented and feels energized to deliver high-quality website projects.

The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the management of the project lifecycle of new custom website and app builds, from intake through planning and execution. Additionally, they will triage the workload of all website maintenance and update tasks. They will manage developers and work closely with cross functional teams to bring projects to fruition, as well as act as the liaison between clients and the web team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating and building relationships with clients and internal teams, and can provide technical website consultation.

Candidates must be located within a 5-hour drive to the St. Louis area and will be required to work from the St. Louis office and attend in-person meetings periodically based on client and team needs.

Job Responsibilities:Project managing custom website and software development projects along with maintenance after launchActively monitoring the development team’s scrum workflow utilizing our task management software (Asana), identifying and resolving roadblocks to project delivery, and improving process inefficienciesPrioritizing and coordinating assignments, monitoring status, and communicating status to clients and stakeholdersLeading phone, video conference and in-person project status meetingsUnderstanding the client’s goals and incorporating goals into website strategy, sitemap, custom features and conversion funnelsCollecting and organizing information and documentation needed by team members to complete projects on scheduleBuilding out pages and updating content in various WordPress websites, including Elementor, Gutenberg and custom themes.Staying up to date with website trends to provide effective consultation to drive client’s business goals, including website accessibility, UX/UI and technical featuresStaying up to date with, and effectively communicating with clients about areas of digital marketing, specifically SEO, paid media advertising and email marketingOther duties as assigned

Education/Experience Requirement:Bachelor’s degree in a marketing related field, requiredMinimum of 5 years experience in a project management role at a website agency, requiredProficiency updating CMS in WordPress, requiredKnowledge of website accessibility best practices, HTML and UX design
