Job Description

We are currently seeking a temporary, part-time contractor to join our team as a Safety & Quality Consultant. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support with safety and quality initiatives for our client within children’s apparel industry. The position is expected to require up to 20 hours per week (4 hours per day).

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a safety and regulatory advisor, managing inputs required during the product development process, including licensed business requirements. Offer advice and support on any operational quality issues that arise during the development and production stages. Review quality inspection reports from third-party inspections to ensure compliance with established standards. Conduct an in-depth review of current safety, regulatory, and testing processes and identify areas for improvement. Implement identified improvements as part of our Product Development and Production processes. Assist in the implementation of quality management process improvements. Develop onboarding and education content focused on safety practices.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Proven experience in safety or quality management within a production environment Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to product development Familiarity with conducting inspections and reviewing inspection reports Ability to identify areas for improvement within existing processes Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide guidance and support

Please note that this is a temporary position requiring approximately 20 hours per week (4 hours per day). The contract duration will be determined upon discussion.

Remote/ Must reside in LA area to go onsite as needed for meetings
