The Senior Financial Analyst will help shape the structure, processes, and culture around many aspects of the Finance department.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively to minimize substantive errors and improve efficiencyProvide audit support for control and substantive testingPerform month end and quarter end reconciliation activities as assignedGenerate and maintain detailed documentation of policies and processes and assist with process improvement/automation initiatives as they ariseResearch and identify international reporting requirementsRegistering or updating sales tax filing status in each stateCoordinate the identification, reporting and follow-up efforts associated with tax related system problems and errors, which will include responding to sales tax noticesProvide analytical support and assistance with respect to all areas of sales/use tax complianceAid in the maintenance of our tax system - Avalara (exemption certificates, filing requirements, etc.)Assist with the setup and maintenance of new international business processes, including operational setup and chart of account mappingEntering tax codes for new and existing products within Avalara

RequirementsThe ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(GAAP), and will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the month-end close process3-5+ years of progressive experience in Public AccountingProject management skills, analytical thinker, and effective leaderLeadership in continuous improvement projectsProficient in Microsoft ExcelExemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsHighly organized, customer-focused, strong attention to detailBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
