User Experience Accessibility Analyst
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The Digital User Experience (UX) Accessibility Analyst works as an active partner throughout the digital product lifecycle to provide customers and prospective customers with an inclusive experience regardless of the customers ability to view our content. This role is responsible for creating an inclusive experience by providing guidance to improve usability and accessibility for customers and prospective customer that use assistive technologies.
Primary ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with Designers, Developers, Content Specialists, Subject Matter Experts, Technology and Line of Business partners to influence product developmentDevelops guidelines for architects, designers and developers to aid in compliance with the current version of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)Provides accessibility expert guidance to UX Design, UX Content, UX Engineers and Technology developersSupports Procurement by participating in third party tool reviews to assess Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Compliance and identify potential issues onboarding new toolsEngages in quality audits and assist with remediation roadmaps where necessaryConducts accessibility testing for enterprise digital using manual and automated methods for desktop and mobile applicationsUses assistive technologies to evaluate digital propertiesAssesses level of conformity to WCAG standards and assign a severity level of issues that are uncoveredManages and prioritizes critical ADA defectsTroubleshoots accessibility issues and provide the necessary HTML, CSS and JavaScript changes for remediation as neededCommunicates findings and recommendations in a variety or mediums (video, screen cast, confluence)Reviews and approve accessibility JIRA tickets in SAFE
RequirementsBachelors degree in design, computer science, information sciences, psychology, human factors, HCI, or related fieldSix (6) years experience performing accessibility testingExperience testing native Mobile Apps for AccessibilityExperience using ADA tools JAWS, NVDA, iOS VoiceOver, Android Talkback, WAVE, AXEExperience with ARIA markup, knowledge of JavaScript, semantic HTMLIn depth knowledge of ADA standards (WCAG)
