The Impact You’ll Make in this RoleThe person hired for the position will lead and perform noise, vibration, harshness, and thermal management testing projects.

Here, you will make an impact by:Managing and performing testing to validate the solution for full vehicle and componentAnalyzing test results and making recommendations for requirement verification of the product or solutionDeveloping, implementing, and standardizing advanced test methods and proceduresWorking collaboratively with development engineers, application engineers, and account managers to support design and product optimization.

Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution in a science or engineering disciplineThree (3) years of NVH or Acoustics experience in a private, public or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Master's degree in NVH from an accredited institutionProficiency in NVH test methods and data acquisition systemsDemonstrated NVH system developing and testing experience for commercial vehiclesAbility to generate novel ideas and creatively apply to NVH testing and applicationsStrong product development, planning, and analytical skillsExcellent communication (e.g. written, verbal, presentation) and teamwork skills

Work location: Indianapolis, Indiana

Travel: May include up to 15%[domestic/international]Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Responsibilities of this position may include direct and/or indirect physical or logical access to information, systems, technologies subjected to the regulations/compliance with U.S. Export Control Laws.
