Accountant

Our client is a mid-sized, successful, family-owned CPG company. They are seeking a multifaceted Accountant to join their finance team. This position will be a junior member of the Accounting and Finance team, whose role will primarily consist of assisting the Finance Manager in executing the accounting for the organization’s outside ventures, as well as providing backup on other GL and reporting tasks.

This role is fully onsite in St. Louis, MO.

ResponsibilitiesAssist Finance Manager in entering General Ledger transactionsProcess payroll weekly for smaller related company of less than 20 peopleCreate and monitor all compliance reporting for federal and state organizationsAdminister accounts payableCreate and maintain all management reportingPerform periodic inventory audits and quality control reportingMaintain cost of goods to GAAP and owner specificationsMaintain all master data in the AMS systemWork with Finance Manager to monitor cashflowAssist the Finance Manager and Controller as a backup for:P Card processing and auditingAP when necessaryAR when necessarySupply chain reportingMaster data maintenanceAny production reporting and inventory auditingCross train in accounts receivableSupply chain auditing and work order finalizationPayroll

RequirementsBachelor’s in Accounting or equivalentOne to three years of accounting and financial analysis experienceExperience in small, family owned and/or private companies preferredHigh attention to detailMust have a sense of urgencyStrong Excel, numerical and analytical skillsStrong knowledge of ERP or other large accounting packages, experience with Sage a plusAMS knowledge preferred

Base: $80k-120k DOE + benefits
