📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is a healthcare company. They seek an Accounting Manager to remotely join their Denver, CO office.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop internal controls for complex accounting transactions and play a leading role in process improvementsPrepare periodic financial reports and technical accounting memos in conformity with US GAAPWork with Strategic Finance and other business partners to provide analysis and insights on historical transactionsProduce and review of account reconciliations, journal entries, and analysis of resultsAssist with the annual financial statement audit and ensure compliance with all government requirementsGain an understanding of the chart of accounts and financial reporting structureUnderstand and begin to take ownership of the preparation and review of specified areas of month-end closeBuild working relationships with other departments and become a point of contact for the accounting functionDocument observations and recommendations for areas to begin with for process improvements and scalability
Requirements4-7 years of accounting experience,Combo accounting background preferredPublic company experience, familiar with SECOpen to industry background, but technology preferredProactive and a creative problem-solverAble to multitask and meet deadlinesCPA strongly preferred
