The Account Manager Customer Service has the task of delivering the service portfolio to ABB customers within the Robotics & Discrete Automation in Service & Digital Platform, helping to drive sales volumes and margins across the Service product portfolio and regularly updating the database with changes made on site.
In this role, you will be responsible for generating service sales opportunities and secures profitable sales within the designated areas. Also, focusing on Installed Base (IB) penetration and selling the entire service product portfolio in collaboration with other ABB service units. Building long term customer relationships and ensure immediate response to specific customer needs and issues.

Your responsibilities
Penetrate into IB, promoting various upgrades, retrofit and value add solutions to the benefit of the customers and ABBUnderstand the channel strategy and the establishment of related prices and prepares sales plan, reviews them and proposes recovery plans when neededUtilize IB database to understand the existing IB and identify and develop sales opportunities for service products and solutions to penetrate the existing IB or new IBs in the marketFocus on the entire service portfolio to secure profit for assigned business/product groupsGenerate service sales leads and develops new market opportunities by utilizing market trend information and through identifying and exploring potential new service portfoliosSell entire service product portfolio to expand ABB footprint in the designated areasAct as a marketer/salesperson of ABB’s service products and solutions during marketing activities (campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, conferences, customer meetings)Translate the needs of customer into relevant ABB Service offerings and solutionsEstablish long term customer relationships by understanding their requirements and applicable regulations and by demonstrating in depth technical service product/solutions knowledge to promote Life Cycle Management (LCM)Document customer feedback and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the sales processUpdate IB in the Service database regularly with the changes made at siteContribute to risk assessments related to price and qualityRegister required information into the appropriate customer databasePlan and perform the right number of weekly sales visits and report them on CRM (Customer Relationship Management)Report leads/opportunities, manage and update pipeline in CRMUpdate and monitor sales proposals and tenders and follow up on proposal statisticsCommunicate contract details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and manages administrative sales processes
Your background
Bachelor’s degree preferably in Marketing, Sales or Engineering field with minimum of 8 years of experience in support sales, sales, proposals/quotes, account management or customer support OR High School Diploma or GED with minimum of 10 years experience in support sales, sales, proposals/quotes, account management or customer supportOccupational Health and Safety (OHS)Technical support and servicesProcess improvement and optimizationData ManagementPortfolio ManagementGeneral Sales PracticesMarketing, Sales and Product Management/Customer CentricityCandidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $74,900 and $139,100 annually and is bonus eligible.
