What You’ll Do

Prioritize tasks to efficiently be completed with emphasis on Safety, Quality and GMPEnsures effective written and verbal communications. Regularly interfaces with key internal and external stakeholders to manage area of responsibilityCommunicate clearly and work together in a team environmentMust be able to work with cross functional teams, self-motivated, able to problem solveMonitoring the Production Schedule and balancing changing workload to prevent adverse production impactMaintaining the effectiveness of the quality system including commodity lot trace, file retention, labels and ingredients for Halal, Kosher Schedule A and Kosher Schedule B complianceResponsible for sampling and testing ingredients and packaging materials, as to comply with quality procedures and assuring specifications and quality guidelines are met. Analytical analysis of the ingredients and physical evaluation of the packaging materials as defined by testing proceduresRecognize and report method procedure problems, out of specification conditions, or other anomalies to leaderMinor trouble shooting of equipment with some assistance from supervisionInput of quality data into quality/inventory computer systems including MITS, AMAPS, and LIMSPlacing commodities on hold as necessary, maintaining a hold list and pursuing final disposition of commodities on hold through destruction, returns to vendor or release; based on justification and approvalLeading Supplier Event Notifications to supplier, Supplier QA and relaying supplier investigation findings to impacted manufacturing production lineUpdating plant procedures to meet new policies and accurately reflect practicesPerform administrative duties and project management as requiredProvide “On Call” Coverage, as assigned

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

Required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

High school diploma (or equivalent) required plus 1 year of college science (e.g. chemistry) with appropriate labs and 1 year of college math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry or calculus)Or High school diploma (or equivalent) plus 2 years of equivalent plant QA lab experience at an Abbott Nutrition facilityOr B.S. or B.A. Degree with a science minor

Preferred

Bachelors Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Math, or closely related technical field.Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements for infant formula and nutritionals.

Shift

Tuesday - Friday - 10:00am to 6:30pm

Saturday - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Sunday and Monday - Off

The base pay for this position is $18.25 – $36.45 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
