Position Summary
The preCARDIA Team is focused on rapidly developing a novel treatment for patients experiencing heart failure. Our team is leading the development of the entire preCARDIA system including:
Balloon Catheter and Accessories Access and repositioning sheaths On-board sensors / intelligence Console, UI, and System performance Clinical best practices, training, and user
Key Responsibilities
Support development of catheter, accessories, and preCARDIA system Assist in the design of components/fixtures. Conduct engineering tests for design improvement. Provide input into design and design improvements. Conduct failure analyses under mentorship of senior engineering staff Analyze data and present results to larger Engineering team
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Junior, Senior, or Grad student pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, biomedical engineering, or directly related discipline. Strong design, testing, and analytical skills required (e.g. engineering and statistical analysis) Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal Knowledge of SolidWorks preferred. Experience with machining and/or 3D printing is a plus. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We we will not be able to provide any sponsorship now or in the future.
