Full Time - Child Psychiatrist
East Tennessee Behavioral Health is a 90-bed inpatient treatment center serving Knoxville, Tennessee, and the surrounding communities. We provide the highest-quality care for people who have mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety disorders, and bipolar disorder and those who have co-occurring addictions. The acute inpatient treatment we offer supports adolescents, adults, and senior adults, while our outpatient programming serves adults age 18 and older.
Overview
Responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.

Responsibilities
Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility. Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures. Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations. Evaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disorders. Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications. Qualifications
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required. One or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferred. Licensed in the the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications
Board certification in child psychiatry Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
