Job Title: Sr. RF WiFi Engineer:Position DescriptionSeeking Sr. RF Engineer with experience in private wireless solutions utilizing outdoor WiFi, CBRS, mmWave, FWA, LTE and 5GNR. Candidate to support RF outdoor WiFi, mmWave, FWA, CBRS design, optimization, and troubleshooting. Experience in Microwave design, pathloss analysis, PtP and PtmP equipment and engineering. WiFi, FWA, LTE and 5G coverage and capacity optimization.Provide network WiFi, CBRS and FWA optimization analysis and recommendations using a combination of Ekahau data and network statistics.Perform statistical analysis to identify KPI offenders and find root causes to address degradation/customer impact.Manage overall project from initial RF planning, site survey review, to final optimization and closeout package acceptance.Identify and resolve RF interference issues across various frequency bands.Understanding private wireless technologies, CBRS, mmWave and FWA solutions Experience with configuring routers, switches, microwave PTPs, G.hn hubs,Experience with fiber hubs, Wi-Fi access points, and monitoring devices.Assist contractors in setup procedures for items above such as PTP alignment, head end installation, configuration, and testing.Ensure Ekahau walk test and venue speed testing has met requirements. Work with design engineers to rectify any configuration or design issues and facilitate continuous design improvement.Complete Soft launch/launch closeouts and acquire necessary signoffs. Qualifications: Education: · Bachelor of Science in Engineering/Technical/Compute Science or equivalent technical experience is preferred. Experience: 5+ years Engineering/Planning/Operations Telecommunications experience implementing private wireless solutions, FWA, CBRS, 5G, Wi-Fi, and/or FTTX, Microwave, or G.hn. Key Competencies: Understanding of Networking: IP addressing and routing.Understanding of Wi-Fi propagation in indoor and outdoor environments and how to test SLAs and roaming.Understanding of a wide range of Wi-Fi devices such as computers, smartphones, TV, in a bring your own device environment.Basic understanding of Wi-Fi authentication.Basic understanding of design and design technologies.Experience with Ekahau design and data collection tools.Ability to access network devices, build, and understand configurations.Firm understanding of the service ordering process including installation and delivery.Must have skills in defining, evaluating, solving, and presenting alternatives to complex engineering problems and in applying engineering and economic principles.Basic proficiency with various computer applications and Microsoft Office suite applications to include, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Additional proficiency with Access and Visio is helpful.Any experience with telecommunications, inventory management systems, AutoSketch, CAD, software map tools is relevant.Familiarity with reading schematics, blueprints, or wiring diagrams is relevant and helpful.Basic understanding of the service ordering process including installation and delivery.Must have strong interpersonal and good administrative skills with ability to multi-task and influence change.
