📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are searching for an Accounting Manager to join our manufacturing client's team in Fort Worth. This position maintains a key role within the organization as the lead cost accounting professional. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager or a strong Senior Accountant that is looking for the next step in their career.
RESPONSIBILITIES:Review accuracy of raw materials, WIP (work-in process), and finished goods inventory balances.Analyze, update, and maintain item Standard Cost of both purchased and manufactured items.Review work orders to ensure that costs are accurately captured; research and explain Job Cost Variance to Standard Cost.Review CIP (construction-in-process) and other fixed asset transactions for compliance with Company policy.Perform capital expenditure analysis.Month-end close; reconciliations.Review accuracy of intercompany transactions.Preparation of financial statements and review of period variances.Special projects as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; relevant work experience may be considered in substitution.Manufacturing experience required.Minimum 5 years of experience.CPA or CMA is a plus.Advanced MS Excel skill.Strong, independent worker.
