Maintenance Electrician

We’re seeking a Maintenance Technician in Aurora, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity with competitive benefits.

Shift: 2nd: 4pm- 12 am; 3rd shift: 12am-8amPay rate: 2nd shift: $34.90; 3rd shift: 35.15

Overview:Join our dynamic team as a Maintenance Technician where you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment. As an integral part of our operations, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise and contribute to our success.

Minimum Requirements:Minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience as an industrial electrician.Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, installation, and repair of pneumatic/electrical instrumentation, power distribution, and control/power wiring.Ability to interpret electrical schematics and adhere to national electrical code standards.Experience with AC/DC drives and motors, PLC’s, sensors, and control devices.Familiarity with various Servo/Stepper/Custom drives systems such as Kinetics, Sercos, Lexium, and Emerson Servos.Proficiency in ethernet/RS232/RS485/Modbus+/DeviceNet communications for equipment troubleshooting and repair.Knowledge of mechanical components and systems.Must possess basic standard and metric hand tools and be adept at operating shop equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:Basic knowledge of a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).Ability to read and interpret drawings, hydraulic schematics, and technical manuals.Experience working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC’s) and ability to program them.Familiarity with Hydraulic Systems, Cylinders, Pumps, Valves, etc.Experience with piping and packaging equipment overhaul.

Physical Requirements:Ability to perform various physical tasks including bending, squatting, climbing, lifting, and carrying moderate weights.Willingness to work in diverse environmental conditions including confined spaces, heights, and exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

Key Responsibilities:Coordinate troubleshooting procedures and ensure adherence to NEC and NFPA 70E electrical standards.Assist in remote troubleshooting when necessary.Document all work orders comprehensively, detailing the issue reported and steps taken for resolution.Perform specialized maintenance tasks in electrical and mechanical areas.Install and repair electrical systems and equipment.Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in all work areas.Train fellow employees as required.Perform other duties as assigned by management.
