Job Description

As a Product Test Engineer (PTE), you will work on the verification and validation, software and system quality assurance of some of the most advanced medical devices in the market today. You will also develop test cases and procedures; execute test protocols; write and improve Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions; perform V&V work using state of the art testing and test automation tools. Our work makes a daily impact on the lives of many patients around the world. Our team makes sure that our products are well made and of high quality. We are looking for a Software QA Engineer to join our Product Test Engineering (PTE) team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Participate in system PTE activities for the verification & validation of software and systems in an advanced medical device equipment environmentEngage in system PTE activities for the verification & validation of software and systemsDevelop test cases and procedures, execute test protocols and participate in the creation of test reportsWrite and improve Standard Operating Procedures and Work InstructionsPerform V&V work using state of the art testing and test automation toolReview and analyze system and user level requirementsReview and analyze system implementation detailsWrite and/or update manual or automatic test protocolsPerform software installation/upgradesExecute test protocols manually or automatically, identifying and logging anomaliesParticipate in review and disposition of anomalies and conduct verification of corrected anomaliesDepending on the specialized area and experience level, may perform additional responsibilities such as:setting up/managing test labs/environments, including hardware and network setup and configurationstraining as a Radiation Safety Worker

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree (preferred), or an equivalent mixture of education, training, and experienceMinimum of 3-5 years of PTE work experienceExcellent communication skills

Preferred Or Desired

Specific, relevant experience in an FDA guided, medical device environmentExperience working in a clinical environmentExperience working with test management toolsExperience setting up computer system hardware, networks, and software installationExperience with DICOM standards

Accuray pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Accuray Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
