NI Software Development Engineer
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
ACS is looking for a Software Development Engineer to join our team. This position is located on a project site in Lafayette, Indiana.
The software development engineer is to define, develop and support custom National Instruments (NI) software solutions. Primary responsibilities will include:focus on, but not limited to, the design, development, and installation of data acquisition and control solutions involving NI hardware and software.the needs of internal and external customers requesting assistance with design, development, and implementation of data acquisition, data management, storage, and interface hardware and software solutions as required to support their product development and testing processes.
Basic requirements include:Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related degreeKnowledge of or internship experience with NI technologies, specifically LabVIEW.NI LabVIEW CLD, CLA or willingness to get certification within the first year of employment.Full life-cycle application development and deployment experience required.with client service, including balancing multiple internal/external projects and responding to changes in deadline, scope, and design.in application of sensors and instrumentation preferred.in engine and vehicle test environments preferred.good technical writing and oral communication skills.the on-site project is complete, ability to be travel to customer facilities (25% - 75%) nationally, travel may take place for more than a week at a time.Must have the following personal skills and characteristics: Problem solving skills, strong organizational and time management skills, team player, takes initiative to improve personal skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with all internal and external levels and groups.
