Litigation Legal Assistant - Healthcare
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting data.Review and verify correspondence, reports, and legal documents.Draft letters, motions, briefs, table of contents, table of authorities, and other litigation documents.Maintain attorney calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel.Enter attorney time entries by the allotted deadline.Interface with clients; confirming meetings, requesting required documentation, etc.Record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; monitoring evidence-gathering and deadlines.E-file both via NJ E-courts as well as Federal Pacer.Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:Minimum of 8+ years related work experience.High school diploma or GED required.Experience e-filing in both State (NJ/NY) and Federal courts.Working knowledge of NetDocuments or similar document management application.Experience using SurePoint or similar billing software.Strong knowledge of MS Word and Outlook; ability to quickly learn other applications.Knowledge of digital dictation preferred; willing to train.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Ability to prioritize work and manage workflow efficiently and accurately.Professional communication skills.
