📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Sheet metal engineering manufacturer is seeking a Engineering Manager to lead their current engineering and manufcaturing team. Leadership and technical hands on experience is required. ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom manufcaturing for mechanical, medical, aerospace, automotive or industrial product development.
Qualifications
8+ years’ experience working and leading teams in a fast-paced high-volume manufacturing environment (defense industry preferred)Ability to work as part of a team. Management skills. Problem/situation analysis. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Analytical thinking skills. Ability to coordinate a wide variety of resources to meet production quality and quantity metricsIn–depth knowledge of the production process and the tools and equipment used in the processAbility to effectively lead, manage, train and motivate a diverse group of employees to achieve high production levels within tight time deadlines and in a highly dynamic manufacturing environmentStrong background in collaboration with engineeringAble to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlinesExperience with start ups, such as project planning, and establishing business processes, management systems, and work instructions is preferredThis is an exciting opportunity to create the business processes, systems, and culture to stand up a production operationIn-depth knowledge and understanding of the Defense Industry and how decisions impact customer satisfaction, product quality, and on-time delivery preferred
