Full Time LPN- Pediatrics

Currently looking for a full time LPN, is an Integral part of the clinical team primarily responsible for providing safe, evidence-based care for our patients, exceptional support, and the ability to anticipate the needs of both the clinicians and the patients.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Process X-Ray orders. Process prescription refills faxed from pharmacies and monitor office prescription refill line. Perform checks for crash cart monthly. Complete DCF forms. Read, record, and process all cultures. Monitor clinician’s schedules and bring areas of concern to a manager. Monitor and complete Tasks for all offices in EHR. Scribe with clinicians (unless not requested). Review and prioritize phone and task messages for patients Answer patients’ questions and respond to requests. Dress wounds, give injections, and provide immunizations. Educate patients on asthma medications & equipment, Epi pen, treatments, etc. Review charts when needed for transfers, medication requests, etc. Reorder vaccines, medicine, or oxygen when necessary. VCF ordering and supply monitoring. Conduct lab tests and procedures. Triage incoming calls and tasks forwarded from the call center to provide clinical support to patients based off urgency of issue. Handle any faxes that may need clinical support. Retrieve and process messages from the overnight and off-hours service. Monitor injection list.

Must Haves

Graduated from accredited LPN or RN program. Current License Must be In Good Standing in Connecticut. Previous nursing experience (preferably in pediatrics) is preferred. Computer skills are required (working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is preferred). Knowledge of EHR software is preferred.

Locations : 4 Locations: Fairfield, Trumbull, Stratford, Shelton: This client hires as a practice so the perfect candidate should be open to traveling to other offices. Offices are all within 15-20 mins of one another.

Schedule : 7:30 - 4:30 M- F with 1 Day out the week being 7:30 - 8pm.

Candidates get 1 day off during the week after 12 hr shift and Must be available to work 1 weekend a month. Weekend Schedule: Sat - 8:30am - 3:45pm / Sun - 8:30am - 12:30pm
