📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Medical device manufacturer is seeking an Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team and collaborate on product development. Company is best known for their product lines and are looking to phase out the current product while releasing a new device. Ideal candidate will be proficient within Solidworks and have an enthusiastic / collaborative mentality.
Day To Day
Support the sustainment of products as well as introduction of new product developments Ensure quality in a product's design for usability, reliability, functionality, and manufacturability Work with test engineers to perform characterization and/or formal test to verify and validate changes to instruments
Qualifications
Solidworks, New product development, lifecycle engineering, GD&T
Additional Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of experience in lifecycle engineering or product design and development with an understanding of product lifecycle for electromechanical or instrumentation products Bachelor's degree in engineering or science Proficient in Solidworks although there may be a change to Creo/Pro-E CAD Experience working with ISO requirements (Medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace or automotive) Preferred experience with GD&T, Fluidics and signal detection methods
