📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
An international industrial machinery manufacturer in the Farmington Hills, MI area is seeking a Laser Field Service Engineer who is responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of machinery at customer sites.
Responsibilities Include:Travel to customer sites to repair laser machinery or supervise the repair through subcontractors and/or customers’ maintenance peopleOversee project management and perform machinery inspectionsPrepare quotations for service to customersPrepare and present final reports to customersProvide warranty service and supportMaintain customer relationship and promote parts sales
Requirements:Prefer at least an Associate’s degree in Engineering or related fieldAt least 2 years of related field service experiencePrefer at least 2 years of project management experiencePrefer experience with laser machineryExperience with hydraulics and pneumaticsAbility to travel up to 75 percentMust have valid driver’s license
This position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
