Sales Representative - Resin / Polymer Materials (Hybrid) (33841)

An international chemical manufacturing company in the Novi, MI area is seeking a Sales Representative (Chemical / Polymer / Resin) candidate to join their team! An ideal candidate has extensive experience in chemical / polymer / resin materials for the automotive parts (engineering plastics, for example), but other experience such as electric wires, packaging films would be great too. Their products are widely used for various industries such as not only automotive, packaging, cosmetics, and so on. This is a full-time and direct-hire, and hybrid role.

Sales Representative Responsibilities Include:Contact and visit potential clients within assigned territory to establish a business relationshipResearch the latest industry trends and create new opportunities to expand businessManage and maintain existing customer relationships and act as a customer liaison to different company departmentsInterface with customers regarding product issues, questions, etc.Provide quotes and pricing for customersAssist with program and product development and planning for future sales activitiesProvide timely activity reports to managementOther duties as assigned

Sales Representative Requirements Include:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field preferredMust have prior Sales experience with in the chemical raw materials / chemical compounds manufacturing industryAbility to multi-task and manage complex projectsStrong communication and collaboration skills in a multicultural environmentGood computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointAvailable for up to 50% business travelThis position is in an office work environment. While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
