Trial Defense Paralegal in Downtown Los Angeles

Job Title: Trial Defense Paralegal Job Description: Prominent law firm in Downtown Los Angeles seeks an experienced Trial Defense Paralegal to join their team. The ideal Trial Defense Paralegal has a background of 3-5+ years of experience in litigation with a preference in Insurance Defense, can maintain 1500+ billable hours annually, and has experience working with a pool of attorneys. Bachelor's Degree is required with paralegal certification strongly preferred. Trial Defense Paralegal Duties:- Work with a pool of attorneys to prepare for trial by gathering/organizing trial binders, exhibit lists, expert lists, witness lists, bates stamping, etc.- Summarize and categorize deposition transcripts, medical records, and others- Conduct legal research, investigations, and case evaluations- Draft various legal documents including notices, motions, briefs, subpoenas, discovery demands and responses, and pleadings- Assist with document production and ediscovery with Relativity, kCura, etc.- Communicate with outside vendors and other third party providers- Assist with preparation for court appearances, pleadings, depositions Trial Defense Paralegal Requirements:- Bachelor's degree required- ABA-approved Paralegal certificate strongly preferred- 3-5+ years of litigation experience required, with preference to Insurance Defense- Must be able to maintain 1500+ billable hours annually Additional Details:* Hourly Rate: $30-35/hr* Schedule: Monday - Friday* Hours: 8:30-5:30 PM (1 hour lunch)* Parking: Covered by the firm* Desk: Fully onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, CA If you or someone you know is interested in applying, please send the resume to Alizen Rodriguez at for immediate and confidential consideration.
