JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with Project Engineers to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installationParticipate in the development of design and installation specifications along with commission plansParticipate in the final check-out of new installations to assure adherence to functional specificationsTrack the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets and find ways to reduce those losses or high costs through root cause analysis, plan approval, then facilitate implementationGuides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systemsProvides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability related and non-reliability related risks that could adversely impact plant operationsDevelops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operationsInsures that proper safety procedures are specified and documented on all planned jobs
SUCCESSFUL INCUMBENTS WILL HAVE: BS Degree in Mechanical EngineeringTen plus years engineering experience in a production, manufacturing or plant environmentExperience working in a safe manner that promotes the health and well-being of the individual and the environmentAnalytical thinking and problem solving skillsCommunication and presentation skills sufficient to communicate thoughts succinctly to ManagementRoutine communication with customers and vendorsHave a solid background using PC software applications including Microsoft Office SuiteBe familiar with applicable codes, regulations and standardsMust successfully complete a pre-employment physical and drug screenMust successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential card (TWIC)
