Adena Lakeland - Industrial Project Estimator
Primary Job Responsibilities:• Develops accurate and well-organized estimates and bids for Industrial and Commercial construction projects in a timely manner.• Completes clear, detailed, take-offs and completes budgets for Projects.• Understands contractual terms and conditions.• Organizes subcontractors’ quotations, negotiates to ensure quotes meet contract documents and issues proper documented purchase orders and subcontracts.• Provides and maintains unit pricing and database for material and labor costs.• Understands and navigates basic building codes and certification programs i.e. AISC, ASME, etc.• Reviews sites and gathers information for potential estimates.• Analyzes plans and bidding documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.• Operates company estimating system to develop bids and estimates.• Adheres to the company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment.• Other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualifications/Skills:High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Five (5)+ years of previous construction experience required.Schematic design and design development budgeting experience preferred.Ability to use Bluebeam software.Knowledge of building codes and certification programs i.e. AISC, ASME, etc.Ability to read and navigate plans and specifications.Good interpersonal and written communication skills.Strong math skills including basic arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.Knowledge of Microsoft Office products with a focus on Excel.Must be detail oriented.Successful candidate must be able to pass a drug screen.
