Job Title: Senior Analytical Chemist - Specialization in Chromatography and Rheology

Job Summary: Adhesives Research seeks a seasoned Senior Analytical Chemist with a strong focus on chromatography and rheology to lead the development and validation of complex analytical methods for detailed material characterization. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in both analytical techniques, enabling precise analysis of identity, purity, quality, and strength of various materials and products. This role involves proactive participation in product development projects, leading troubleshooting of instrumentation and methods, and mentoring the team to enhance and innovate Adhesives Research Test Methods.Essential Functions:Lead advanced method development and validation in chromatography and rheology to accurately characterize materials against application requirements.Author and oversee the creation of Method Validation Protocols, Method Validation Reports, Method Verification Reports, Test Methods, and Test Study Reports.Troubleshoot and maintain complex analytical instruments, utilizing service agreements effectively.Apply advanced scientific methods to determine experimental errors and enhance the accuracy of test methods.Innovate and develop new test methods in the fields of chromatography and rheology to expand the company’s analytical capabilities.Provide expert analytical support for development projects, establishing necessary controls and specifications.Investigate manufacturing, testing, and stability issues using advanced analytical techniques.Ensure all laboratory operations comply with company policies and regulatory standards, maintaining detailed documentation and a commitment to safety.Foster a collaborative environment and participate actively on cross-functional development teams.Job Specifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field; advanced degree (PhD preferred) highly valued.Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytical chemistry role, with significant expertise in chromatographic (GC, GC-MS, SEC) and rheological techniques.Demonstrated ability in maintaining and troubleshooting analytical instrumentation.Proficiency with Chromatography Data Systems (CDS) such as Chemstation, Empower, or Chromeleon.Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor others and collaborate effectively within a team.Capable of managing multiple projects and adapting to changing priorities.Familiar with Microsoft Office and other relevant software, along with a strong foundation in statistical analysis.Physical and Environmental Conditions:Frequent physical activities such as standing, bending, and occasional lifting of moderately heavy items.Work environment involves moderate risks requiring special safety precautions, including the use of personal protective equipment.About Adhesives Research: At Adhesives Research, we are pioneers in adhesive technology, creating innovative solutions that enhance the performance of products across the healthcare and electronics industries.
