JOB DESCRIPTION:AFPS is looking to add a District Service Manager to our dynamic fire protection team in Panama City Beach. You will be joining an established and diverse team where you will be able to make an immediate impact. This position will manage the day-to-day functions of our fire protection team, including having P&L responsibility and working closely with our design, sales, estimating, and project management teams. The ideal fit in this position would be someone who enjoys building relationships, mentoring project management, and sales staff, and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:The function of the District Service Manager, is to plan, manage and direct all operations of the Branch Office to drive market growth through efficient, economical installation and service within established cost guidelines, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and scheduled customers commitments. This includes directing, coordinating, selling, planning, scheduling, and expediting of job and service orders and communication of job status to key AFPS staff. Must possess strong leadership, people-management, customer service and sales skills. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, ETC.:Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related field preferredKnowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reporting.Deep understanding of accounting3 years of supervisory experienceAcceptable background check and drug screen REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Proven work experience in fire protection field: fire sprinklers, fire alarm and/or fire extinguishersKnowledge and understanding of applicable codes, laws and regulationsProven work experience in a supervisory roleAdvanced knowledge and understanding of fire life and safety principles and applications to include:management, sales skills and abilities commensurate with the years of management experienceKnowledge of fire / building codes, OSHA, and EPA regulations, scheduling, inventory, and job costingprocedures and techniques.Ability to direct the job flow from bidding to installation.Ability to adjust schedules to meet customer needsAble to calculate and understand financial reports, financial analysis, forecasts, budgets and the specialized skills for job cost and estimating related to the fire protection industry.Ability to deliver quality work on tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skillsProven experience in project management.Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel and OutlookAbility to operate a motor vehicle, to visit job sites and suppliers.
