CUT SAW SPECIALIST

GREAT DAY SHIFT OPPORTUNITY FOR CUT OPERATOR FOR MANIFACTURING MACHINE SHOP _PERM FULL BENEFITS

Identify material requirements from drawings or cut lists and fill job orders Measure stock to length or dimension for angle cuts, scribe between dimensions, cut from layout, using fixtures provided on ganged or single piece angle work Set up and operate a full range of structural metal working machines such as automatic band saw, chop saws, abrasive saws, and automatic cutting machinery Equipment may be manual, automatic, and/or programmable Adjust speeds and feed for a wide variety of materials Remove material burrs utilizing manual of automatic deburring tools Maintain inventory of stock raw materials through ordering and receiving as needed. Store stock materials Promptness, follow work schedule Cleanup of work area and shop as needed or directed Required Hand tools: Tape measure, Combination square, Protractor

What you need to succeed

Experience with operation of a Bandsaw You will have some knowledge of the operation of shear Can read and understand the use of a standard tape measure Can read and understand manufacturing drawings or blueprints Have a basic knowledge of machine shop fundamentals Knowledge of difference in metals Can check work, using scales, square, protractor, template and sample or by fitting to mating parts
