Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Whole Life Carbon Senior Consultant to join our established Sustainable Development Group, to be based in the London office.

The successful candidate will be part of our wider UK Sustainability group, playing a key role in delivering Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCA) services for several major public and private sector clients, helping them to develop and meet decarbonisation targets and ambitions.

Our clients cover a range of building sectors, including public, commercial, domestic, industrial and education. You will need to have experience in delivering whole life carbon assessments and identifying opportunities to significantly reduce carbon emissions across the lifespan of the development.

Job Responsibilities will include

Supporting clients in setting suitable decarbonisation targets and outlining a route to achieving these. Developing and delivering whole life carbon reduction strategies for a variety of scoping mechanisms (e.g., Greater London Authority, LETI & RIBA, BREEAM etc.). Preparing and leading tenders and proposals for new work and delivering assessments. Liaising directly with clients and designers to recommend key low carbon measures and support the drive to decarbonisation and net zero. Delivering large scale projects with a view to implement low carbon initiatives. Training and supporting staff in WLCA modelling. Delegating work and reviewing work by more junior staff. Joining the broader AECOM sustainability practice, networking with colleagues, and engaging other internal project opportunities.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements

Good client engagement experience and skills. Good knowledge of the building design and construction process. Proven ability to work as part of a team. Competent in the use of MS Word and Excel. Experience of OneClick LCA or eTool. A demonstrable passion and enthusiasm for environmental sustainability. Experience with undertaking LCA studies for BREEAM, Greater London Authority (GLA), LEED, or other LCA scoping mechanisms.

Job Description

The Transportation Division of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Construction Field Inspector for immediate employment in the Novi, MI office. This position provides the opportunity to work on large, unique, and complex transportation projects in Michigan and throughout the country.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Use past experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and solve problems in the field as they arise. Responsible for monitoring deadlines, and coordinating work with the Contractor. Responsible for relaying major problems that affect cost/scope to the Project Engineer. Provide on the job training and mentoring to new employees. Responsible for monitoring conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or code requirements by performing inspection duties. Perform daily field inspections, maintains inspection records, and may review inspector reports from lower level inspectors. Participates in punch lists, testing, and commissioning. Tracks quality assurance progress. Provide input to documentation for area and equipment turnovers. MDOT certifications are required or must be earned within 6 months of beginning employment.

HS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Valid Driver's license Weekend and Night work will be required

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of MDOT, other state DOT, or local agency construction inspection experience; or demonstrated equivalent combination of education, skills, knowledge, abilities and experience Understanding of construction principles and practices Ability to document any and all relevant events, issues and variances Good active written and verbal communication with construction personnel and engineers Ability to perform basic computations and calculations and review calculations that other inspectors complete Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications. Overnight travel within the state may be required

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $27.00/hour - $38.00/hour.
