Forklift Technician

As a Shop Technician you will be required a daily basis to perform various testing, repairs and maintenance activities on forklifts and other equipment under the leadership of a supervisor. Take advantage of all training classes offered to assist you with your growth and knowledge. A Shop Technician works to provide a positive image to the dealerships customers, while working cohesively with all departments.

 Attains the ability to diagnose unit problems correctly.

 Attends and participates all service related meetings.

 Completes and submits all paperwork to Service Manager in timely manner. assuring his information is legible, complete and obtaining the customer signature on required documents

 Submitting paperwork with complete data from diagnosis on the unit. Explaining fault found and listing any and all safety and mechanical problems. Assuring that this information has been shared with the customer, by receiving his/her signature on appropriate documents.

 Communicates with Service Manager, Parts Department and CSS on a regular basis to build and maintain reliable positive relationship.

 Provides support for the parts department by:

Allowing enough time to order parts on stock orders when possible.Supplying the correct unit, attachment information to assure proper ordering of parts needed.Keeps shop inventory correct, clean and organizedUtilizes critical parts orders when needed. Uses these parts when they arrive.
