SUMMARY DESCRIPTION

This position is responsible for foundation seed production, conditioning, bagging, re-bagging, maintenance of conditioning equipment, field operations, and help with shipping and warehousing as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assist in field operations and scoutingOperate dryer and sheller as directedAssist in Bulk Seed movement and managementAssist in Perform seed conditioning, packaging, and treating operationsAccurately complete all paperwork in a timely mannerPrepare boxes for packaging, including washing and repairsWarehousing and load building as necessary, including load checking for accuracyActively engage and promote a culture of safety and follow safety proceduresAssist with housekeeping and preventative maintenance of our equipment throughout siteResponsible for projecting a positive image AgReliant Genetics and acting in accordance with the Company’s Core ValuesBe able to lead small groups of temporary staff to perform tasks/objectivesUse productivity tracking equipment per direction of site leadershipBe able to operate forklifts and farm equipment after proper trainingOther duties as assigned

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent preferredWork experience in seed/agriculture industry preferred

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively as part of a team and individuallyStrong attention to detailExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and common PC-based software

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Ability to lift up to 65 poundsAbility to work assigned hours and shifts including overtimeAbility to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditionsAbility to walk seed fields, up to 5 miles/dayMust have a valid driver’s license and meet MVR guidelines
