About Us: AGS Capital is a private investment firm focusing on opportunities in the lower middle market, as well as select venture investments. We provide a service-oriented approach and take an active role in building our investments. Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of financial statements, maintaining financial records, performing reconciliations, and other accounting duties as needed for multiple companies. The ideal candidate will be interested in learning about several different industries and is looking for career advancement. Key Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reportsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accountsPrepare journal entriesAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closingsEnsure compliance with accounting principles and company policiesAssist with financial reviewsHelp with budget preparationAnalyze financial data and provide recommendationsAssist with other accounting projectsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or 2-4 years of relevant experienceCPA certification or in the process of obtaining CPA certification is a plusProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsApply for this positionWe offer:Health Insurance, Vision and DentalVacation - PTO - Holiday Pay401k Company matchLife and Disability InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program
