Position: Automation Technician

Target Base Hourly Range: $30 - $36 (DOE)

Perform service work on plasma, oxy/fuel cutting systems, robots, and other related equipment. This will include installation, preventative maintenance, onsite troubleshooting and service, component repair and performing component upgrades while ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsible for adherence to company policies including safety and the use of personal protective equipment.Perform maintenance and repair as needed on equipment sent in to the Airgas welder repair facility in Anaheim, CA; ensuring machines are tested, calibrated and run according to manufacturer’s specifications.Perform maintenance and repair as needed on automation equipment at customer facilities; ensuring machines are tested, calibrated and run according to manufacturer’s specifications.Ensure proper service documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.Maintains a clean, organized and safe work environment by ensuring all health and safety guidelines are followed both at Airgas and customer facilities.Communicates professionally with all branch personnel and advanced fabrication team.Identify sales and service opportunities at existing and prospective customers. This will be accomplished both individually and working with other Airgas associates.Ability to work closely with customers as the Company’s primary contact person to build confidence and deliver for the customer and Airgas.Maintains accurate and timely expense reports.All employees are expected to perform any reasonable work request that falls within the qualifications but not specifically described.

Are you a MATCH?

Associate Degree Welding (AAS), Technical School; work experience, electrical and electronic knowledge could supersede educational requirements.Experience operating large equipment such as CNC tables, high voltage electrical equipment and power sources. Comfortable working in a variety of manufacturing environments.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, material safety data sheets, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must maintain a clean MVR.
