📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to work in Ingleside, TX, for an initial 8 month assignment.
Responsibilities:Provide expert level technical guidance and direction to resolve any issues or challenges encountered during installation, commissioning, or maintenance activities.Provides expertise to project team in instrumentation related activitiesConduct field inspections to verify the quality and integrity of installed instrumentation equipment and systems.As a technical authority, responsible for leading, planning, and delivering Engineering solutions and supporting instrumentation and controls team during the construction and commissioning phase of the project.Accountable to coordinate with project managers, engineering teams, and subcontractors to ensure timely and accurate installation of instrumentation systems according to project plans and specifications.Review and approve technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications related to instrumentation systems.Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of required instrumentation materials and equipment.Provide Technical guidance to site query and approve red line drawings to be sent for as built.Accountable to provide weekly updates to line manager and project team as required.Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Instrumentation and Controls or Electrical Engineering requiredProfessional Engineer designation required25+ years experience in the Oil and Gas Industry requiredSpecialized knowledge of transformers, generators, motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor control, electrical protection systems, etc.Demonstrated knowledge in protection and control systemsWorking knowledge of Smart Completions software from Hexagon is preferable.Able to read and understand P&IDs, PFDs, ISOs and technical specificationsAble to understand and use CMS databases, preferably Hexagon15+ years experience in working with construction contractors at their facility during the building and commissioning of the facilities.
