Senior Business System Analyst (with Testing Experience)
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Business System Analysts for a contract position with one of our direct clients based out in Lincoln, NE (100% Remote).
Rate Range: $50-55/hr. on w2 (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Required SkillsPrimary focus will be QA skills but has to at least have performed some type of functional BA skills previously. (Not just a tester)Writing test plans, executing QA , logging bugs, potential for creating and running automated tests.Capable of having done manual testing and understanding how automation works using tools such as Selenium, Soap Ui, Ready API, and Postman.
Desired SkillsGather requirementsCreate and read flow charts.Collaborate with Lead and software developers in Agile environment.Visio experience and ability to understand architectural design, workload features, knowing what systems can do and look like.Any BA certifications are a nice to have. Example ISBTQAgile methodology experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS30% Elicit requirements and manage projects, which includes:Working with business area users to understand and document project/business requirements and proposing system solutions;Analyzing impacts of potential technical difficulties on product design or system requirements;Creating mockups and documentation as needed to ensure good communication and a shared understanding of the project between users and developers;Managing scope, cost, and schedule of small to mid-sized projects for on-time and on-budget delivery;Estimating and logging time daily, providing project status information, and presenting demonstrations of project functionality to stakeholders; andTranslating functional specifications to software development requirements and coordinate solutions delivery.
50% Develops and executes test plans for software projects, which Includes:Identifying and creating test cases, which can include ad-hoc querying of SQL databases;Analyzing test outcomes to ensure compliance with plan and resolve differences;Ensuring project objectives are met;Creating automated tests to ensure high quality and rapid regression testing, which can include test scripting; andReviewing test results of others as required.
10% Provides communication on project status, which includes:Logging activity and communicating status to both managers and end users;Composing professional responses to project inquires; andActively participating in meetings.
10% Performs other functions, which include:Incorporating new computer industry developments into future Company systems;Keeping abreast of industry developments that could provide solutions to our business goals; andMaintaining skills through ongoing training and study.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSTwo or more years business analyst experience required.Professional oral and written communication skills required.Effective planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.Analysis, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills required.Experience with Agile Development and Project management with SCRUM, KANBAN methodologies preferred.Experience with MS SQL databases and Selenium or other automated test scripting preferred.Talent required in values, work intensity, achiever, positivity, relationship, resourceful, and exactness.Experience in testing, managing teams develop RESTFul APIs, windows services, and database integrations, preferredExperience using tools to test/validate such as postman, swagger, katalon, readyAPI, preferredExperience in creating and maintaining test suits/beds preferred.
