Sr. Business Systems Analyst - 100% Remote - Contract (W2)

Akkodis is seeking a Sr. Business System Analyst for a Contract (W2) position, and this is a 100% Remote role (Omaha, NE). Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in Business Analysis, Project Management, Testing, and SQL. Rate Range: $53-$58 per hour W2. The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS30% Elicit requirements and manage projects, which include:Working with business area users to understand and document project/business requirements and proposing system solutions;Analyzing impacts of potential technical difficulties on product design or system requirements;Creating mockups and documentation as needed to ensure good communication and a shared understanding of the project between users and developers;Managing scope, cost, and schedule of small to mid-sized projects for on-time and on-budget delivery;Estimating and logging time daily, providing project status information, and presenting demonstrations of project functionality to stakeholders; andTranslating functional specifications to software development requirements and coordinating solutions delivery.

50% Develops and executes test plans for software projects, which Includes:Identifying and creating test cases, which can include ad-hoc querying of SQL databases;Analyzing test outcomes to ensure compliance with the plan and resolve differences;Ensuring project objectives are met;Creating automated tests to ensure high quality and rapid regression testing, which can include test scripting; and Reviewing test results of others as required.

10% Provides communication on project status, which includes:Logging activity and communicating status to both managers and end users;Composing professional responses to project inquiries; andActively participating in meetings.

10% Performs other functions, which include:Incorporating new computer industry developments into future Company systems;Keeping abreast of industry developments that could provide solutions to our business goals; andMaintaining skills through ongoing training and study.The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be substituted as necessary.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTSTwo or more years of business analyst experience are required.Professional oral and written communication skills required.Effective planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.Analysis, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills required.Experience with Agile Development and Project management with SCRUM, and KANBAN methodologies preferred.Experience with MS SQL databases and Selenium or another automated test scripting preferred.Talent is required in values, work intensity, achievement, positivity, relationship, resourcefulness, and exactness.Experience in testing, and managing teams to develop RESTFul APIs, windows services, and database integrations, preferredExperience using tools to test/validate such as Postman, swagger, katalon, ready API, and preferredExperience in creating and maintaining test suits/beds preferred
