The SAR Department at AKRF is seeking a Senior Remediation Engineer to work in New York City, White Plains, Philadelphia, or NJ office.

Job Responsibilities

Prepare remedial alternative analyses/feasibility studies.Prepare bid/construction documents and lead remedial procurement process with equipment vendors and contractors.Perform construction inspections and system start-up, implement system operation, maintenance, and monitoring (OM&M) plans.Assume project leadership responsibility for environmental remediation projects, including planning, scheduling, and coordination.Undertake technical work in accordance with the contracted scope of work, budget, schedule and legislative standards.Perform field work including (but not limited to) contractor oversight, and soil, surface water, groundwater and soil vapor sampling.Coordinate and prepare written reports, work plans, and technical memorandums; analyze data and develop supported conclusions; and assist with design of remedial technologies.Work collaboratively with other teams within the SAR department, and professionals across internal business lines.Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offeringsAssist with training and development of junior staff through mentoring.

Essential Requirements

Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in engineering.Minimum 8 years of experience in environmental remediation system design.OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification.Must be proficient in CAD. Experience in Revit is a plus.Must have strong writing and communication skills and decision-making abilities.Knowledge and understanding of New York City building/mechanical/plumbing code and NYSDEC/NYCOER/NYCDEP regulations is a plus.P.E. license is preferred, but not required.

Compensation will range from $100K-$150K, dependent upon experience and roles and responsibilities.
