📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Key Duties/Responsibilities
Working under the direction of the General Manager and working in alignment with the Divisional HSE Steering Team, the HSE Manager will have functional and overview responsibility for all site locations.
Key Metrics
Maintain HSE Metrics including Regulatory Record KeepingHazardous Waste KnowledgeDevelop and deliver employee training (or manage resources to deliver training)Manage (and if applicable conduct) employee wellness sessionsDevelop and Update safety processes and procedures including PPE requirementsConduct safety and environmental audits and manage resulting action plansEnsure proper Maintaining of MSDS and chemical listCase management of work related injuries and overall “return to work” programChair safety team meetings and coordinate action plansManage Contractor/Visitor Safety ComplianceManage Hearing Conservation ProgramManage Accident Investigation Process and root cause corrective action plansManage onsite First Aid Responder team, process and supplies
Experience/Education/Skills
Knowledge
Minimum of 7 years’ HSE related experience in an industrial/mfg environment required
Environmental and Hazardous waste Knowledge
Strong OSHA and EPA Regulatory Compliance Knowledge (10 Hour OSHA Card strongly preferred)
Employee Wellness Practices/Systems Knowledge
First aid/CPR certification
Bachelor in Health and Science or related field
