Special Education Teacher

We are looking to expand our current educational team and are seeking professionals who are motivated, hardworking, talented, team players and are passionate about working with children with autism. Ideal candidates will include professionals who have previous experience in working with both verbal and non-verbal students. Educational services are delivered in both individual and group settings, direct and natural environments with home and community carry over.Classroom Teacher Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: Oversee classroom and manage staffOrganize and lead quarterly Parent/Teacher conferencesPlan and participate in field trips and community outingsWrite educational goals for student IEPs and transition plans using IGS curriculumStrong collaboration with other teachers, program managers, speech, occupational, physical, and music therapists, life skills coaches, parents, behavior analysts, and other staff in IEP goal development and implementationAdminister formal and informal assessments, screening and testing of students Lesson plan writingCreate a classroom dynamic that fosters teamwork, collaboration and solid communication in the best interest of the students! *Prior ABA experience, a plus!
