📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities

Job Title: Systems Administrator

Location: New York, NY

Reporting To: SVP, Head of Information Systems

Job Description: The Systems Administrator (SA) will be responsible for troubleshooting the computer and telephone communication networks. The SA will also ensure the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for their users.

Duties & Responsibilities:Design, install, upgrade, and repair local and wide area network and infrastructureAllocate network resourcesDevelop and install emergency systems to back up the main network serverCustomize network to meet the demands of the company needsMaintain network facilities including PCs, phone system, printers, file serversMaintain network maps of all sitesControl user access and functionsEnsure security of stored informationAssists in the installation of new hardware and softwareMonitors employee usage and adherence to company policyTrain users on LAN operations and proceduresPerform minor equipment repairs

Qualifications:Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of training and experienceNetwork certification preferred10 or more years of IT experience or equivalent industry training and experienceConsiderable knowledge of the operation and care of computer and related electronic data processing equipmentUnderstanding of general programming techniquesKnowledge of IP Phone configurations (Cisco)Must be able to continually learn new systems and technological developmentsAble to work overtime as neededExperience with a wide variety of network operating systemsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: Base salary anticipated to be $85-95k, plus discretionary bonus and outstanding benefits
