Part-Time/Contract WordPress Content Specialist
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Looking for part-time help (about 10 hours per week) updating the content and back-end maintenance of our WordPress website:
ALI Conferences produces about 25-30 conferences/business training events on various topics per year. We specialize in employee communications and HR topics.
CONTENT UPDATES: We need help to update event content on the website constantly.
- Background in visual website design - to layout and organize the information in a way that is visually pleasing and logical; suggest new ways of displaying key information
- Make ongoing content updates – adding new events, agendas, speaker logos, etc; fixing typos; editing information that we provide
- SEO knowledge a plus - to maximize prospects finding our events – ensure meta tags, keywords, etc are added as needed
TECHNICAL WORDPRESS UPDATES
- Make regular WordPress updates – troubleshooting and resolving problems as they arise, keeping WordPress up to date-Google Analytics: reviewing our tracking of orders/sales – for more accurate information for paid Google ads-Developer background to make updates to the backend of the site – over 41 plug-in updates, etc.
- Requires working knowledge of:
- -WordPress
- -plug-ins such as WP Bakery Page Builder
- -WooCommerce
- -Yoast SEO
- -knowledge of Ontraport is a plus– our CRM, but not required. Easy to learn. Zapier
We are a small business producing virtual and in-person B2B conferences/training. We process orders and credit card payments through the website via WooCommerce and PayPal.
