What You’ll Do

In this support role on AlixPartners’ Corporate Services team, you will work with our in-house SharePoint and Smartsheet platform team, building and supporting key applications. You can look forward to working on real-world applications in a learning/collaborative centric environment, troubleshooting and solving problems, being part of a team with an opportunity to learn the latest Microsoft and Smartsheet technologies and develop web & coding languages, all while gaining experience working on multiple projects at the same time (time/priority management).

The SharePoint and Smartsheet Intern (known internally as Intern) is a short term/part-time role located in Southfield, Michigan, and reports to the Lead SharePoint Architect Manager. This paid internship role is a 6-month internship, approximately 20 – 24 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate university coursework. Paid relocation and benefits are not available for this position.

Learn how to run a project from ideation to completion utilizing common business artifacts such as a Project Charter and timeline.Learn and get trained on the latest SharePoint's frameworks and Microsoft cloud technologies – ex: Microsoft 365, Azure, Power Tools stack (PowerApps, Flow and PowerBI).Learn and get trained on Smartsheet platform.Work closely with the other Admins on administrative tasks to support the Team.Work closely with developers on Programming tasks (primarily using Microsoft Stack).Work on web languages such as HTML5 & CSS3.Work with code languages such as JavaScript & JS Frameworks such as jQuery.Support the team on project and migration tasks (Validating Content & Data) before handing off the projects for QA Testing.Create technical documentation on existing and new applications/integrations.Additional responsibilities as identified. What You’ll Need

Actively enrolled in or recently completed an IT related program.General knowledge\understanding of Microsoft Technologies such as Microsoft/Office 365, SharePoint, and the Power tools such as Power Apps, Flow and Power BI.General knowledge\understanding of Server side (C#) and client side (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) Code Languages.Exceptional customer service and communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of customers.Ability to work independently and under time constraints.Attention to detail with the ability to manage and prioritize responsibilities effectively, adapt to changing circumstances to meet key deadlines under time constraints so work is completed in an accurate, timely manner.Desire to learn new skills and improve and provide high quality work.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.Ability to work full time in an office and remote environment; physically able to sit/stand at a computer and work in front of a computer screen for significant portions of the workday.Must become familiar with, and promote and abide by, our Core Values as defined by the AlixPartners’ Code of Conduct and foster an inclusive environment with people at all levels of an organization.Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
