Chief Technology Officer

Alliance Advisors, LLC is an independent advisory firm focused on Shareholder Engagement & Solicitation, Compensation, Governance & Sustainability Advisory, M&A – Activism, Investor Ownership Intelligence, Proxy Logistics and Retail Outreach strategies.

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will play a crucial role in aligning, defining, and executing our technology vision with our business strategy.

The candidate for this role will be working full time in our Bloomfield, NJ headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

Work with the senior leadership team to set clear priorities and goals for IT management and production, balancing the long-term and immediate needs.Develop and manage monthly budgets to maximize efficiency, growth, and profitability.Manage vendor relations with technology vendors.Oversee data security, management, and governance.Manage IT resource allocation, goal/KPI setting, and performance metrics.Define the company’s overall technology strategy to support business objectives.Make infrastructure decisions, ensuring technical excellence, versatility, safety and soundness, resiliency and scalability in the architecting and engineering of product solutions, as well as managing all technical delivery.Facilitate the development and implementation of disaster recovery and IT security failure plans.Ensure tight collaboration across departments to drive strategic initiatives, including understanding of the alignment between technology strategy and various technology road maps.Create strategic plans and set timelines for evaluation, development, and deployment of all technical, web, and mobile services.Implement and oversee clear processes, day to day workflows, annual development plans.

Key Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.Prior experience as a senior engineering leader overseeing architecture and engineering for enterprise-wide technology platforms and leading SaaS technology platforms.Experience leading complex, major changes and initiatives; demonstrated skills in change management on an organizational and interpersonal level; experience with integrating teams across multiple business units and managing a geographically dispersed workforce.Solid understanding of broad technology trends and the ability to align innovation with business goals.Management experience in outsourced teams and helpdesk contracted services.The ability to convey technical topics in easy-to-understand business terms and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.Strategic smarts, including the ability to identify new opportunities, drive clarity, create focus, and make tough decisions in complex and dynamic contexts.Experience designing and managing an effective IT governance framework across the spectrum of IT service delivery.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software, networks, or related field or equivalent certifications.

The base salary range for this position is $180,000 – $225,000. The base salary offered will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, certifications, skill level required for the position, the scope of the position, and geographic location. Actual base salary offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
