The ideal candidate will be a Mid-Level Cost Engineer/Estimator with a proven track record of preparing cost estimates, risk assessments and controls through the planning and design phases. This position is full-time and requires United States Citizenship.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare cost estimates in-house using software and estimating programs for Design-Build (DB) and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) projects – conceptual and schematic design, development and construction documentsMeet with clients and designers to discuss cost repercussions Provide technical reviews of project constructability design and analysisExecute change order analyses and reviewsConduct electronic take-offs on various architectural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural systemsTravel 10% – typically once a quarter for short durations (2-5 days)
Basic Qualifications5 years of relevant experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to learn and apply oneself when challenged
PreferredProfessional Engineer (PE) LicenseCertified Cost Professional (CCP) Certification or equivalentExperience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) or other federal agenciesConstruction management experience Knowledge of OST, PlanSwift or RSMeans
