QA/QC Manager (Asphalt, Soils & Aggregates)

We are seeking a qualified and experienced professional to lead our construction materials testing team. In this managerial role, you will oversee the quality and efficiency of material testing for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications. You will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of construction projects by conducting and overseeing field and laboratory testing on asphalt, soils, aggregates, and other construction materials. Responsibilities:

Lead and Manage Team: Provide direction and oversight to a team of construction materials testing technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Develop & Implement Testing Plans: Create and execute comprehensive testing plans for diverse construction materials (asphalt, aggregates, soils) in both lab and field settings, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards (ASTM, KDOT, MoDOT, ACI, etc.). Quality Assurance & Knowledge Management: Champion a culture of quality by enforcing adherence to testing standards and maintaining the team's testing knowledge through ongoing training programs. Embrace Technological Innovation: Be at the forefront of advancements in materials testing technologies, identifying and advocating for their implementation to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, providing clear and consistent communication regarding testing progress and project updates. Safety Champion: Foster a safe work environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular training sessions, and prioritizing the well-being of the team.

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction materials testing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role. Demonstrated expertise in asphalt, soils, and related laboratory and field testing procedures. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills to meet project deadlines. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record. Responsibilities to lift and carry heavy materials (up to 50 lbs). Experience working in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures. Current materials testing certifications, including KDOT, MoDOT, and ACI, are highly preferred.

Salary: $75,000-90,000 annually
