Position Summary

This position reports to the Division Controller and will be responsible for supporting the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, and assisting with annual budgeting and special projects. Applicant should possess strong problem solving, time management, and analytic skills.

Objectives

Ensure timely reporting of financial results through high involvement in monthly close processEnsure accuracy of reported balances through completion of account reconciliations, resolution of reconciling differences and preparation of adjusting journal entriesSupport annual budget processUnderstand and support standard cost processes

Day-to-day Responsibilities

Prepare journal entries for month end close, including allocation of expenses and prepaid balancesAnalyze general ledger activity, including both Balance Sheet and Income Statement accountsManage standard costs of direct materialsSupport internal and external auditsAssist with Corporate Accounting special projects and process improvements

Key Relationships

Work as an integrated member of the Division Controller's team to meet collective departmental responsibilities and deadlinesWork with department heads to ensure understanding of reported expenses and variances to budget.

Required Education, Experience & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and WordOracle experience preferred
