Lean Manufacturing Manager Job Summary: Our client in Shelbyville, TN is looking for a Lean Mfg. Manager. This is a direct hire position. The job requires a management professional with a strong manufacturing background and strong skills in continuous improvement and efficiencies across HMUS’s products, systems, operations, and processes. This Professional would lead the Lean process improvement activities in the plant in the United States, in coordination with global teams. This professional would directly report to the plant manager, Regional operation Director, and Global Manufacturing Head to achieve the required plant KPI target set by General Head Quarters (GHQ). This Professional would also work with multifunction teams in the plant team to develop and improve plant lean operation systems including manufacturing and material management systems.

Working with the Senior Management Team, develop and implement business transformational and continuous improvement strategy. Outline direction and deployment of the Lean framework to ensure consistent and rigorous application across the business in line with best practices. Responsible for the successful management and implementation of business improvement projects/initiatives across the business, ensuring that Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements are adhered to.

Qualifications:Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice Lean vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operations, recommending,and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedureto optimize results and improve the quality of delivery, in line with quality standardsdelivery in line with company and customer requirements.Work collaboratively, negotiate, and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery andwith the Lean strategy.Lead, define, and develop continuous improvement activities designed to improve performance,as the planning and running of lean events.Undertake business process analysis, and statistical analysis for improvement projects and to support wider change.Report on the progress of projects, understanding the risks, dependencies, budgets, resourcing,critical milestones and forthcoming pipeline, and actions necessary to ensure success.Coach and facilitate teams and individuals to identify and implement improvement opportunities.A degree (relevant to manufacturing/engineering is preferred) and generally 8 plus years ofexperience in manufacturing and manufacturing Engineering preferably Automotive Manufacturing Field.People management and project managementMaster Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification is advantageous.Have experience working with integrated computer programs (ERP) and/or applications.Have strong communication, administrative, and organizational skills, and possess the ability to multiple projects and programs
