Job Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, this position will provide support to the clinical pharmacists at the Medication Adherence and Centralized Prescription Renewal Unit in managing the refill authorization process using approved guidelines and protocols.
The Medication Adherence and Centralized Prescription Renewal Unit delivers enhanced refill and medication management services and improves operational efficiencies. This team will be based at the Monterey Park office and will receive phone call, faxes, and other forms of communication to process requests for prescription renewal. There is no a pharmacy located at this site, and handling of drugs is not within the scope of this role.
Minimum Requirements
High school graduate or equivalent Pharmacy Technician certification Minimum 1 year of experience as a certified pharmacy technician or related pharmacy experience required. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
