📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Altea Technology (Remote/Hybrid)
The Senior Interface Engineer will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining interfaces between our electronic health records systems and various external systems, ensuring seamless data integration and exchange. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, clients, and vendors to deliver high-quality interface solutions.Additionally, this role supports the development and implementation of interfaces between Electronic Medical Record(EMR) systems (PointClickCare/MatrixCare EMR and Altea’s EMR), clinical and business applications, external business partners, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:Interface Development:-Design, develop, test, and implement interfaces between our EHR systems and external systems, including laboratory information systems, pharmacy systems, radiology systems, and more.-Utilize industry-standard interface protocols (HL7, CCD, CDA, FHIR) to facilitate smooth data exchange.Collaboration:-Work closely with clients, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements and define interface specifications.-Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and support.Troubleshooting and Support:-Provide expertise in identifying and resolving interface-related issues promptly.-Offer technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams to ensure optimal interface performance.
Testing and Quality Assurance:-Conduct thorough testing of interfaces to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.-Develop and maintain testing documentation.Security and Compliance:-Implement security best practices for data exchange and ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations and standards.Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. (Preferred)Proven experience as an Interface Engineer in the healthcare industry, with expertise in Experience with Interface Engines (Qvera, Mirth, Mulesoft), PointClickCare EMR, HL7, FHIR, ADT/DFT.Proficiency in programming languages such as Javascript, API, SQL DB.Strong understanding of healthcare data standards and interoperability.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: Competitive pay and benefits and startup stock options
Work Location: Houston candidates are preferred but currently WFH or Remote locations are for the right candidate.
