Altium Packaging is one of the largest plastic container companies and suppliers of rigid plastic packaging. We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments.
We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Control Technician for our Atlanta facility. As a Quality Tech, you will audit, test and measure finished goods to ensure customer standards are met.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agenciesApply statistical tools and techniques to monitor plant performance and finished goodsComplete laboratory testing and collect samples at established intervalsContinually seek process improvements and make recommendations to managementAudit compliance with GMP policiesPerforms process inspections during molding, packaging and loadingAudit for compliance to control plan requirements including process parametersPerform incoming inspection of raw materialsComplete dimensional checks and report on productPerform cycle counts and/or inventory of finished goods as requiredCommunicate quality issues and out of specifications conditions to appropriate personnel and with shift leaders
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma, or equivalent2-years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing settingASQ certification, or equivalent preferredAbility to identify problems and implement corrective actionsStrong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environmentUse of measurement tools and equipment (calipers, micrometer, etc.)Uses logical approach to problem solving in Production & Continuous ImprovementUnderstands the role of Quality in a manufacturing organization and a Quality Operating SystemKnowledge of basic statisticsGood computer & math skillsSafe work practicesAbility to work overtime
